This series of images were made as part of my final first year module (P4). I wanted to investigate a nostalgic notion of 'B' Roads that are seldom used and travelled by few. As we speed along the multi lane motorways, starring at the endless asphalt roadway, we miss the detail, the joy, the adventure of heading off into uncharted territory.
I have created the images as square format landscapes, to bring the reader closer into the road, the way it leads us somewhere new, asking what is around the next bend or over the crest of the next hill. These are just a few of the images I have created and I expect that this will be an idea I revisit at a later time.
